A Lovely Year of Finishes

I stumbled upon Melissa and Shanna's A Lovely Year of Finishes this week and was all in!  I'm good to do the quick finishes and the projects that have a concrete deadline.  Other ones tend to languish in WIP purgatory.  Choosing one of these each month to finish is ideal.

Back in April I promised my oldest daughter I would finish up her postage stamp quilt. Then my sister had her baby and we went for a visit.  The finished top got set to the side and hasn't been looked at since.  Partly because it is a large project.  Partly because I am using a sheet for backing which makes me nervous.  And partly because I want to try a new to me quilting pattern for it.

It's time to get it done!
