I'm really thrilled with how it turned out. While I was making it my sister had her first baby, a little girl they named Rayanna Marie. I immediately knew that this would be for her. And it worked out wonderfully that there is a perfect R in one of the squares!
I spent many hours trying to decide how to quilt it. In the end I'm pretty sure I am going to quilt in the ditch along the sashing. Then a free motion flower in the center blue blocks with free motion loops around them. I plan on getting it basted today and quilted before I leave on Friday. Wish me luck!
